In the first part the some techniques for the reliability evaluation of components and systems are presented. Particular attention is voted to the failure rate evaluation with Handbooks. Then the statistical quality control is presented with the fundamental SPC techniques; the concepts regarding the measurement of conformity and the quality of a production process is also presented. At the end, the basic concepts of accreditation and certification of products in ICT and systems is given.

Standard and European Directives

1. In the first Section (Introduction) the concept of Reliability is included and justified in the broader concept of Quality. This according to definition and actual Standards. some concepts of Accreditation, Standardization and Certification are also given.

2. In Section "Reliability and Availability" the basic concepts concerning the study, measurements, evaluation and analysis, and interpretation of reliability performance and related statistical parameters (MTTF, MTBF) are proposed in the field of ICT. The fundamental techniques for reliability growth are proposed and applied.

3. In the Section of "Quality control and Quality Assurance" the most important approaches regarding monitoring techniques, evaluation techniques used for Quality control and quality improvement are proposed. Particolar attention is given to Statistical Process control (Pareto, histograms, control-charts, ecc.) and probability density function. The aim of this Section is to verify the conformity of products and capacity of the production process (capability indices) .

4. In the Section "Certification" the elements for product and Organization certification are given , as well as CE compliant.

PARTE INTRODUTTIVA - Cenni su normazione, certificazione e accreditamento. Conformità, affidabilità, manutenibilità e disponibilità (fidatezza), qualità: evoluzione temporale dei concetti e relative definizioni (Norme UNI EN ISO 9000:2008, CEI 56-50).

1. AFFIDABILITÀ E DISPONIBILITÀ
Guasto, avaria e loro classificazione. Funzioni di affidabilità, distribuzione sperimentale dei guasti, tasso istantaneo di guasto, parametri di affidabilità e disponibilità: MTTF, MTBF, MTTR. Affidabilità di sistema: configurazioni serie, parallelo, stand-by, k su n, mista. Cenni su affidabilità di configurazioni complesse. Banche dati (MIL-HDBK 217 ed altre), calcolo del tasso di guasto e predizione di affidabilità per apparati elettronici: metodi del part count e del part stress. Analisi di affidabilità di sistemi complessi: metodi induttivi e deduttivi, analisi dei modi e degli effetti di guasto (FMEA) e della loro criticità (FMECA), analisi dell'albero dei guasti (FTA). Tecniche di incremento dell'affidabilità/disponibilità e report di affidabilità.

2. QUALITÀ, CONTROLLO E MIGLIORAMENTO
Controllo di qualità: controllo di prodotto e di processo, tolleranza naturale e di specifica. Controllo di qualità in-linea, carte di controllo (carta della media e del range), diagramma di Pareto, diagramma causa-effetto. Misure di conformità. Controllo statistico di processo. Analisi della variabilità aleatoria e sistematica. Analisi di capacità di processo. Processi centrati e non centrati. Indici di capacità e di performance. Distribuzione normale, correzione di media e varianza. Tecniche di miglioramento dei processi produttivi.

3. CERTIFICAZIONE
Politica del nuovo approccio, Direttive europee e concetto di requisiti essenziali di sicurezza; accreditamento (ACCREDIA) e certificazione; certificazione di prodotto, marchi di qualità e marcatura CE; iter di certificazione di prodotto. Cenni su certificazione di sistema qualità aziendale, approccio per processi e UNI EN ISO 9000:2008, Manuale qualità e iter di certificazione di sistema.
